Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All conversion happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API.

Which format should I pick?

WebP usually gives the best size/quality balance for websites. JPEG is the most compatible for photos. PNG is lossless and best for graphics with transparency.

Why did my PNG get bigger as a JPEG/WebP (or vice-versa)?

Some images are already well-optimized, and lossless/lossy trade-offs differ by content. Try a lower quality setting or WebP.

Is there a file limit?

Free sessions cap at 20 images. A premium tier with unlimited batch processing is planned at $4.99/mo.
